Today we participated in the Opening Ceremonies for Session 2 at Barr Lake. We learned some fun songs and played a few icebreaker games with the whole group when we got to the pavilion. Then we got lathered up in sunscreen, filled up our water bottles (which we got to decorate), and headed off with our cabin groups!
Some groups hiked around the lake to look for birds and fish, while others explored the visitor center. We all had a chance to practice our archery skills and work together to come up with our cabin names. Tomorrow we’re headed to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge!
