We had a great second full day of sleep away camp–we started out our morning with some yummy omelets for breakfast! After putting on sunscreen and getting ready for the day, the one-week campers headed out for a beautiful horseback ride through the mountains, while the two-week campers signed up for their adventure tracks and headed out on a hike. The one-week campers enjoyed learning about horses and the mountains from the wranglers, while the two-week campers tromped all around the hiking trails at camp!

After a fun taco lunch, everyone headed back to their cabins for rest hour. It’s nice to have a break in the middle of the day! Then, we all met a the meeting hall. Our planned afternoon activity got rained out, but everyone was flexible, and we played some really fun games in the meeting hall instead! We played Poison Frog, Shinball, the Gaze Game, and more! The weather cleared up in time to have some popcorn for snack outside, as well as free time. Campers enjoyed hanging out, playing frisbee and tetherball, and an impromptu game of touch football!

We enjoyed a pizza buffet for dinner-yum!-and then had a chance to create cabin ‘Codes of Living’ and awesome cabin flags! Campers got the chance to create and sign a code of living for their cabin, and then got to work on cabin flags to represent their cabin at camp. We closed our day with some quieter evening songs, and then headed back to our cabins for lights out. Tomorrow is riding for the two-week campers and archery for the one-week campers; it’ll be another great day!
