Our programs place an emphasis on choice, and give campers the opportunity to try out many different activities in a supportive, non-competitive, and “un-plugged” environment.

Campers in our 1-week program spend their first few days trying a variety of planned activities, with the opportunity to go back and choose a few they would like to repeat later in the week.

Campers in our 2-week program choose all of their own activities.  It’s done in a fun, collaborative process, that allows campers to ask questions, and decide for themselves if the activity is the right fit for them.

Program Notes

Evening Programs: The fun doesn’t stop in the evening!  Each session we host skit nights, all camp games, and themed events.  And, on the last Thursday of camp, our very popular talent show, where campers and staff show off their unique skills!

Embers and Keylog: A cornerstone of the CGL program are our embers and key log ceremonies.  Once per week, all of camp meets for songs and a story before each cabin heads out to their own campfire circle for a fun, reflective ‘embers’ program.  Friday night’s are our all camp ‘Keylog’ ceremonies.  Each camper has the opportunity to place a ‘key log’ into the fire as recognition to a friend, mentor, or family member that has played a role in their lives at or outside of camp.

Meals: Meals are an important part of building the CGL community, and are served ‘family’ style in our lakeside dining tent, prepared by our wonderful chef, Justin!  Food is nutritious, delicious and cooked from scratch!  Campers play a roll in helping with the setting of tables, serving of food and cleaning-up.

Organized Free Time: At the end of activities each afternoon, the snack bar opens, and campers have the opportunity to take part in activities like: fort building, log rolling, basketball, kickball, and lanyards.  Or, they can hang out and read, play board games, and chat with friends in our lodge!
