This morning started out on the bus, which took us all the way to Chautauqua. In order to get to know each other better, we played the Who’s Missing? game. We sang Boom Chicka Boom and another round of our favorite, Peanut Butter Reese’s Cup. Because we wanted to see as many wildflowers as possible, we headed out on the Gregory Canyon trail to find parts of different flowers. There are so many plants in bloom! Snap dragons, poppies, yarrow, and red columbine are just a few. We stopped for lunch in the shade of a pine tree with beautiful views of Boulder and the foothills. We headed back down the trail with enough time for some free play before we got back on the bus. Back at base camp, we heard two stories, including one about a boy who sprouted flowers. Then we made our very own tulips and created our Group Code. We wrapped up the day with a round of singing and snack. Tomorrow is pool day, so don’t forget to wear your swimsuit!
