The junior campers started their day at base camp with “Get Loose” and “3 Sharp Toothed Buzzards” for our morning songs. We then went inside to make cute little bird crafts that hatch out of their shells. Sarah kept the campers on their toes all day long with bird facts (longest feather, fastest bird, etc.)
We boarded the bus and then headed to Sawhill Ponds for play time and lunch. We went on a bird hike and the campers did a great job sharing binoculars and looking at bird identification guides. We think because of the heat, we saw more dragon flies than birds!
We returned to base camp for stories and end of day songs. We had delicious gorp and can’t wait for pool day tomorrow!
