With the wild weather staying to the east of us, week two of camp got off to a great start! After a breakfast of egg sandwiches and fruit, two week campers jumped right into their activities, and enjoyed a full morning of sailing, archery, horseback riding, crafts, backpacking, and paddling, while our one weekers had a chance to spend some time climbing at the crag, and paddling canoes.
Everyone took a break for a delicious lunch and much needed rest hour, and while the sky threatened, drizzled, and rumbled, it never broke, allowing campers the opportunity to enjoy all of their afternoon sessions; one-week campers did a team building circuit, and decorated their water bottles, and two week campers enjoyed their third activity block of the day!
After free time, and dinner, all of camp came back together in the evening for a cabin campfire at their ’embers’ spot, and took a night hike around camp! The day concluded with some of our favorite songs: ‘Sloopy’, ‘Lean on Me’, and ‘Old Dan Tucker’.
Tomorrow, activities continue, and the backpackers head out to Rocky Mountain National Park for their three day, two night backpacking trip!
Sounds like fun! Great pictures too
