Everyone was very excited to get out on the water this morning in the sun! Paddling, fishing and sailing had a great first period of activities, as well as climbing, horseback riding, and theatre. The culinary class prepared their own delicious omelet breakfast with Zach and Danny. One-weekers enjoyed making paper with Keely!
The day stayed sunny until after lunch, and everyone enjoyed another activity out in the sun. Archery, arts & crafts, and more water activities made for a great afternoon! Berenice and Samantha helped the one-weekers catch salamanders and enjoy a hike in Nature & Ecology. This afternoon we welcomed back our group of backpackers from their 3 day, 2 night adventure from Finch Lake to Pear Lake, a 4.5 mile hike- everyone was in great spirits and excited to be back with their friends and cabinmates!
Even though Organized Free was rainy, we made the best of it and decorated signs in preparation for the night’s Talent Show! We also played a round of cabin trivia led by Tom, as well as Simon Says. After dinner, it was into the Big Hall for the show! We have quite a group of talented people here at camp – comedians, musicians, group performers, singers, puppeteers, and more! Counselors also played some music and performed in skits. Tomorrow is our last full day of the session, and we can’t believe how fast these two weeks have gone by. We’re looking forward to another full day of activities and a great closing campfire!
