Today campers enjoyed their second day of activities for the first half of the week, including some more sailing, canoeing, and kayaking in the sun, cooking up some pizza in culinary, dissecting owl pellets in nature & ecology, and playing some tunes in ukulele. One-week campers loved their day at the indoor pool, and enjoyed a bag lunch on their trip!

Backpackers planned their upcoming trip, learned how to pack their bags, and orient a compass and map. They are headed out on their overnight adventure to Rocky Mountain National Park tomorrow morning after breakfast!

Evening program tonight started off with everyone meeting in the big hall, for Tom to discuss “Embers.” Embers is an evening program when cabin groups can enjoy some bonding time, campfire chats, and tonight had a funeral for the words “I Can’t.” Campers and counselors wrote down things and situations where they’ve told themselves “I can’t,” and created a struggle for themselves in the face of a challenge. If they wanted to, they shared it with their cabin group, and then threw it in the fire to watch it disappear. They enjoyed some cabin time, and one-weekers made s’mores with Jenna!

We’re looking forward to our second half of the week activities tomorrow!
