What a day- today started with a moose crossing through our beautiful lake! Campers jumped into their 1st half of the week activities, including hiking, fishing, nature & ecology, horseback riding, and more. Our 1-weekers loved the challenging team-building activities we had for them this morning, and also got to climb with Michael and Lexi, and canoe with Ellen!
Our backpackers for the coming 3 day, 2 night journey learned how to pack their bags today with Susie and Jake, and planned everything they needed before leaving for their trip tomorrow morning.
Organized Free had a new addition today, hair wraps! Ellen, Berenice, and Sam all helped campers get hair wraps with embroidery floss. It’s been quite popular at camp this week!
The kitchen treated us to a delicious pizza dinner tonight, with six different kinds of pizza, salad, and even cookies for dessert! Thanks kitchen staff!
After dinner, it was back to cabins to prepare for the evening’s exciting new program- 80’s Disco Night! Campers went all out with costumes, danced the night away, enjoyed a campfire with Tom, as well as corn hole and other outside games! We’ve got some very talented dancers here at Granite Lake! Thanks to all of the campers that made signs during Organized Free this afternoon for decorations!
Congratulations to the girls of Antero 2 for winning Best Dressed Cabin!!
