First day of programs!
Two-week campers enjoyed their first day of programs for the session today, including all of our water activities out on the lake, in the sun! Archery learned how to load and shoot arrows, Nature & Ecology caught some tiger salamanders, sailing learned how to set up their boats, hiking enjoyed a beautiful hike, culinary made their own pancakes for breakfast, and so much more! Our three groups of one-weekers rotated through paddling with Ellen, doing arts & crafts with Keely, and theater with Josh!
Tonight, campers enjoyed a new Camp Granite Lake evening program put together by Jen- Casino Night! Using “Stella Dollars,” (Stella is Tommy’s dog!) campers payed to play card games, have their face painted, see some magic tricks with Tae the Magnificent, try their best at a thumb war, and even predict which “horse” would win a horse race! To earn more Stella Dollars, campers sang camp songs to counselors as loud and enthusiastically as they could. It was quite the success, and we all learned how to play a lot of card games! Thanks Jen!
