After the new campers this week got a chance to meet their counselors, we all hopped on the bus up to Wondervu. We started our morning with “Peel Banana” and a game of Yee-Haw! We broke into our cabin groups and applied sunscreen and grabbed our backpacks and water and hiked up to Thunder Ridge to eat lunch and talk about rules and guidelines at camp to keep us all safe. After lunch and a brief talk, we hiked around camp for a while, looking for clues from our friend, Shockti. After hiking, we played a quick game of Ship Island and got back on the bus! We encountered some traffic on our way back, but we were perfectly content singing songs, specifically “Let it Go” at the top of our lungs!

We got off the bus and went inside to decorate and/or redecorate our water bottles. Campers from last week got a chance to draw on a big piece of butcher paper while other campers worked on water bottles. We ate a snack and listened to Counselor Max play on a the guitar a bit before it was time for a story and our Meatball song. We can’t wait to head back up to camp tomorrow and look for our feathered friends up in the skies with binoculars!
