Denver Explorers had lots of fun at Barr Lake on Monday while hiking, flying kites, and doing lots of fish and bird watching. We kicked off the day by singing camper favorites “Tarzan” and “Sloopy.” Groups hiked as far as the gazebo on the other side of the lake, almost a 3 mile round trip, to see the bald eagles’ nest! Other groups stayed closer to the pavilion and spent the afternoon flying kites and playing games. The Explorers wrapped up the day with a GORP snack and some singing.
