The Denver Jr’s saw lots of birds today at the Refuge: red-winged blackbirds, ducks, cormorants, swallows, and even a Great Blue Heron! We sang Tarzan and played Evolution. On our drive in, we saw a bison right next to the bus! Back at base camp, we heard a story, debriefed the day, and chowed down on some gorp. Be sure to bring layers tomorrow; we’ll be heading to the mountains!
