After a very quick change of plans due to some logistics with the bus, the three groups of Junior campers (The Turquoise Hearts, the Nacho Macho Men, and the Rockstar Chickens Who Eat Corn on the Cob) stayed on the bus for a long ride up to NCAR. We had lunch outside on their nice terrace and then went inside to check out all the science experiments. We went on a quick hike and saw a deer! We were all very excited.
We got back on the bus and went back to Whittier to play some games in the field before heading inside for snack, a volcanic explosion, and stories before our “Meatball” song. See everyone tomorrow up at camp!
