We started our day with a short bus ride to the base of Eldorado Canyon and joined the rest of camp for songs. We lathered on our sunscreen and sang more songs with just our group. We played “Fire in the…Jungle, Jurassic Period, Ocean, Desert” before amazing all of the campers in a game of Black Magic. We ate our lunches and after headed up on the Mesa Trail! We checked out the old homestead house and checked out the view from the trail before heading back to the picnic tables to catch butterflies and have some time for free play.
We jumped back on the bus and returned to Whittier for snack and some dino activities! We made dinosaur tails, dinosaur footprints, dino eggs and some other figures with Play-Doh before we hatched our very own dinosaur sponges in warm water. We read some stories and ended the day with our “Meatball” song! We are looking forward to heading back up to camp tomorrow for our last day of the session!
