This morning campers enjoyed the sun, and their second day of this half of the week’s activities. Canoeing and kayaking, hiking, nature & ecology, fishing, theatre and more had a great second day!

Organized Free made for some good relaxation, music, board games and lanyard making. Organized Free ended a little early today for campers to prepare for tonight’s formal dinner- some delicious barbecue chicken, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and salad! Campers wore their cleanest clothes, enjoyed parfait for dessert, and even fancy table clothes. Thanks to our awesome kitchen staff!

Campfire tonight allowed for us to recap an awesome week at Granite Lake, and also to say goodbye to our one-week campers. Campers and counselors read quotes and told stories around tonight’s theme- Friendship. This evening was also a special campfire because it was our first Keylog Ceremony of the session, a time to appreciate individuals that have helped us through a time at camp that may have challenged us, and move our personal “log jams” along with a smile. This ceremony dates back to lumberjacks having some closure after a tough day’s work along the lakes and rivers, recognizing team members that helped them find the log that was keeping the lumber from flowing successfully down stream. Everyone did a great job appreciating friends here at camp in meaningful ways. We look forward to seeing our one-week friends next summer!
