We had an awesome 1st Monday at camp! We began our morning with a delicious pancake breakfast, and made sure to fill up our new Camp Granite Lake water bottles for our day. The whole camp spent the morning learning to work together, overcoming various fun teambuilding challenges and playing camp games. In addition, the junior campers went horseback riding–they took a beautiful hour-long trail ride, where they saw views of the continental divide! After a yummy lunch of chicken sandwiches and sweet potato fries, we had a calming rest hour, and then separated into our villages for the afternoon. The senior and intermediate campers picked their activities for the week, while the junior campers rock climbed, shot archery, and learned some fun theater games. For our evening program, we had an amazing counselor pageant–campers made up characters, theme songs, and funny outfits for their counselors, and then those characters had a dance off and interview-off in front of the whole camp! It was hilarious and great fun for all. We’re looking forward to Tuesday and our second full day of camp activities!
