Happy 4th! Can you believe we’re already a week into camp? This morning we said goodbye to our one-week friends, and hope to see them next summer!

After a tasty breakfast, two-weekers picked their weekend activities- some bonus activities that we don’t usually have here at camp! Tie-dye, band, partner dancing, painting, wilderness survival skills, photography, circus and medieval creations are just to name a few! Campers enjoyed picking two activities to fill their morning schedule, and after lunch everyone regrouped for an awesome camp-wide game- Animals on the Loose! Counselors dressed up as animals (and many other things) and tried their best to prevent campers from moving all of their team’s water from buckets at one end of the field to the other. It was an exciting match, but the campers won- successfully moving all of the water!

We celebrated the 4th of July with some live-streamed fireworks in the big hall, before watching Wreck it Ralph for our Saturday Night Movie. It’s been an excellent first week at Camp Granite Lake, and we look forward to the next!
