We started off our day at camp with a delicious pancake breakfast, and moved right into our first day of activities! Paddling, archery, crafts, sailing, outdoor exploration, hiking, sports and games, backpacking, horseback riding, and climbing took off before lunch! Campers are already off to a great start with setting up sailboats, shooting on the archery range, making dreamcatchers, learning about the food chain, climbing the crag, packing their backpacks, and steering the canoes! Horseback riding had a great time on the woods trails this morning, too!

After lunch and a quick rain shower, campers enjoyed their third period activities- including fishing, theater, and a mix of everything from the morning schedule, too! Organized Free time included some awesome lanyard making with Dana, kickball with Chris and Sam, animal house making, and relaxing board games.

Towards the end of our yummy pizza dinner, Tom made an announcement about a new Evening Program we’d be trying out tonight- reading-in-our-cabins night! Campers were confused, understandably- good thing Tom was kidding about chapters 1 & 2 of Moby Dick! The reaction was a little different upon hearing about the real program- a camp Hoedown! Campers and counselors dressed up for a really fun and energetic night of dancing, horseshoes, corn-hole, country accents, and great music. We look forward to our second round of activities tomorrow!
